Our bracket body has a vertical scribe line along the tip or angulation angle through the center of each bracket. Each bonding base component also has a vertical scribe line along the tip angle of each pad. We join them together to give you an easier to see scribe line when placing the bracket.

By comparing the line up of the XB™ Direct Bond Bracket Body scribe line with the bonding base, you can see when you are viewing the bracket off center.
To see Parallax Placement™ technology at work, just place an XB™ Direct Bond Bracket on a flat surface. View the bond from the facial side. Move your head to be centered to the archwire slot (picture on left). Note the line up of the body line and pad line when you are centered over the bond. Note that when you are off center, the body and pad lines no longer line up perfectly (picture on right) . This adds a new reference point to the bond that assists proper placement.
Many orthodontists view teeth from the occlusal surface with a mirror to check placement. Our mechanical scribe line in the pad and bracket can be seen from the occlusal view in a mouth mirror (unlike laser marks which are only visible from the facial view). Any way you view it, Parallax Placement™ Technology is better.
